We are headed into Spooky Season, but that doesn’t mean kids stop learning! Early exposure to academics can help children perform better and feel more confident when they enter kindergarten, which is why preschool is so important. Check out these fun Halloween Preschool Printables for your developing toddler!
These super simple preschool printables focus on beginning concepts like letters, numbers, colors, and shapes. Each one has a different focus, but also a combination of main concepts. Links to download are under each description.

Mixed Color FRANKEN-HEART Art
Start with a little shape identification activity using the heart shape page from the main concept packet. Ask if they recognize that shape on the FRANKEN-HEART printable. Describe again the shape of a heart and how it has curves on top and come to a point on the bottom.
For the Halloween themed printable activity, you can start by including some science discussion about the human body and how we all have a heart. Tell a child friendly story about how Frankenstein’s body was put together and he came alive when his heart started beating, which we all need to live. Then, have your kiddo mix blue and yellow paint together to make green, like Frankenstein, and color his hearts green on the printable. Emphasize that combining those two primary colors make green and have them experiment with different shades by adding more blue or yellow until it matches the Frankenstein. Just for fun, cut out hang as art for the spooky season!
Pumpkin Patch Color by Letter: E and Review
There are two different fall preschool worksheets for this activity depending on your child’s style or they can just be two different activities to practice letters and colors. One worksheet is more free coloring the areas with one letter symbol to guide the color choice. They can use crayons, paint, colored pencils, etc. The other is specifically for dot painting and helps more explicitly with fine motor practice and development.\
Connect the Dots and Count to: 6
Use the “Connect the Dots” Halloween preschool printable to draw lines between six different points, counting as you go. Emphasize they’re creating straight lines by connecting the points to make the witch’s broom. Then, follow up with counting and coloring the six stars and pumpkins on the printable.
DIY Halloween Color Sort Peg Boards
Turn this cute printable from my preschool resources into interactive pegs boards!
The shape focus was pentagon so I made little haunted houses and designated each one a spooky color to match each monster.
Cut everything out and glue to cardboard, then use some barbecue skewers to poke holes through each monster token and house. With this preschool printable, toddlers can sort each by color, PLUS work on her fine motor skills and spatial awareness.
Build Your Own Shape Monster
To review basic shapes, check out this quick printable activity from my preschool resources!
Use regular paper to cut and glue each shape OR shipping label paper to make your own stickers, which is what I did. Stickers make everything more fun!
Along with making a monster face, we identified each shape while putting them on the face. You could also use this printable activity to identify colors, count, and compare bigger to smaller.
