No, I’m not talking about drinking wine for breakfast; I just wanted to share some fun, wine related date ideas that are perfect for rolling into spring! Whether you’re team red or team white, enjoy some sweet notes with your special someone over a romantic bottle of the good stuff.
I acquired the taste for wine in my late twenties but am really appreciating it more in my 30s. A Pinot Grigio is a good one for light drinkers or those who want to try wine for the first time. That’s how I started and it’s the wine Hubs likes for our wine date ideas. Currently, my favorite is a dark Malbec even though I never thought I’d like red wine. It’s funny how your tastes change over time.

Wine Tasting at a Winery
A wine tasting is the perfect opportunity to grow your bond and your pallet. Enjoy sipping and discussing wine with your partner in a beautiful setting made for romance. Maybe even learn something with a fun tour through the vineyard! If you happen to be in Arizona, we have a few great wineries scattered throughout, but our favorite is actually where we held our wedding. Check out my blog post below to know more about the Windmill Winery in Florence, Arizona.
Indoor/Outdoor Picnic with Wine Date
It’s time to break out the basket and checkered blanket! No matter the time of year, cuddle up together with some good wine, your favorite foods, and some deep conversation. Here is AZ the best times for an outdoor picnic is are the spring and fall seasons. Check out some cute picnic basket sets from Amazon below:
Too cold or too hot or maybe you’re just not the outdoorsy type? Move the couch and throw a blanket down in your living room to make a fun indoor picnic date idea with wine.
Wine and a Show Date Idea
Make a day or night of it! Plan a date to the theatre, a concert, a ballet, or even a football game! Make memories together with some entertainment and discussion after the event. This wine date idea is also great for those with common interests or just to try something new together.

Cooking with Wine Recipes Date Idea
Cooking meaning recipes that require wine as an ingredient or just drinking some win while you cook together! For us, it is the latter. Doing the kitchen dance around each other while creating a meal has always been our go-to bonding time and sometimes we end up creating our own dishes. If you are more of the cooking wine type, here are a few delicious recipes to try out on your next date night:

Fancy Dinner Out and Wine Date Night
What pairs best with wine? FOOOOD, of course! Take an opportunity to book a reservation at a really nice restaurant, get dressed up and treat yourselves to a romantic night out. Sometimes a a special treat is jut the spark you need to reignite the flame. We usually splurge a bit for big anniversaries, my husband loves to pull out his nice blazer and fancy shoes. It’s a win win!
Wine at the Hotel Bar Overnight Stay
My last wine date idea is to make an experience out of it! Plan a one night stay at a local hotel or resort (that serves alcohol), meet at the bar, and get to know each other all over again. Spice things up a little more by doing some role playing, creating characters, and playing it up like you just met! Check out hotels.com to easily find and book a local place.
