With Valentine’s Day coming up, you may be looking for some easy DIY home decor to spruce up your mantle and create that sweet ambiance for the holiday. I have created a couple ideas for cute, Valentine Trees that go well with winter and Valentine’s Day home decor. I used tree frames and mostly products from Dollar Tree, so along with being super simple, they are also budget friendly! Check out the quick tutorials below and let crafty flag fly!

All Materials:
- plastic Dollar Tree frame
- pink paint and brush
- red and pink yarn
- gold ribbon
- gold vase filler foam balls
- Sola Wood flowers
- scissors
- hot glue
- tin planter from Dollar Tree
Both trees are crafted the same at first and then go different ways with the extra embellishments.
Goldie Yarn Tree
The How To:
- First remove the original embellishment from the plastic tree and paint the frame pink. Let dry. See slideshow above.
- Next wrap the frame with yarn in no particular order but in all directions, filling large gaps as you go.
- Start with pink as the base, then add less red but in the same fashion, tying off the ends when you wrap up to your liking.
- Lastly, hot glue some gold ribbon to the bottom of the tree to hide loos ends and gold foam balls around the tree as decoration.
Rustic Floral Tree
The How To:
- First remove the original embellishment from the plastic tree and paint the frame pink. Let dry. See slideshow above.
- Next wrap the frame with yarn in no particular order but in all directions, filling large gaps as you go. This will give the flowers something to stick to.
- Hot glue Solawood Flowers around the frame. Start with larger flowers spread out then smaller flowers to fill the gaps.
- Don’t be afraid to bunch and cover other flowers as you go to give it a full look.
- Place finished tree into the short tin planter.
