British Columbia is a breathtaking province that brings paradise to mind just thinking of it. Although it’s treacherous to travel through if you’re new to the roads, you can enjoy everything from mountains to shoreside here and some of the deepest forests you’ll ever find.
These are the most scenic areas in BC, and why they should be on the top of your bucket list for scenic destinations!
Why British Columbia
British Columbia is a strange province, but it’s fantastic all the same. Home to Canada’s only rainforest, which harbors a Spirit Bear, a bear so rare it’s only in British Columbia, and some of the most incredible coastlines in the world, there’s nothing like this area. Although many of its cities can be more expensive, it’s worth the cost for how much you get to see and do while you’re here and all of the incredible people.
Sightseeing is a natural sport here, and one visit will open your eyes to why you need to come back time and time again.
Victoria
Victoria is an artsy town that feels so small yet so busy. Surrounded by open water on three sides and deep forests on the other, it has a strong drive for creativity you don’t find in many cities. Constant art walks, art pop-ups, and creative endeavors bring people to support the arts financially and emotionally. The views are so much more than just the coastlines and forests; it’s the physical art that people make here, and the artists themselves, that are the real sights to see.
Whistler
Whistler is a world-famous skiing and snowboarding resort, but it’s also one of the best places to go sightseeing! From the fantastic mountains that feel limitless and huge to the amazing wildlife that calls this area home, just one visit will have you searching for Whistler homes for sale. Although this is an incredibly expensive place to live, it’s worth it to have a slice of paradise to yourself.
Don’t just come in the winter because of the tourism season, though; the summer is also fantastic! When the weather gets warm and the snow melts away, it reveals the most luscious and gorgeous green mountains you’ll ever see.
Vancouver
Vancouver is a beautiful city that’s surrounded by mountains on one side and open water on the other. Although you wouldn’t think it: the buildings themselves are also gorgeous, framed by luscious parks and beautiful architecture. Vancouver is one of the most tightly populated areas in Canada, making it the most expensive, but it’s worth every dime. When you’re on the coast, you can look back and see the city rise up to meet the mountains, and it’s absolutely breathtaking, regardless of what time of day you go.
This Province Has Something for Everyone
Whether you’re traveling with your family or you’re starting a trip on your own, this province will inspire you to travel more and get to know the world. Consider going to some of these scenic spots and getting to know the area a little better!
