Just over here prepping for another weekend being pregnant! With temperatures hitting 100+ degrees, my family is all about the cold and fruity beverages to cool us down. Check out this simple, nonalcoholic summer drink to start the season below!
Fun fact, the first “foofy” drink I ordered when I turned 21 was the Bahama Mama because it sounds like a tropical vacation! I soon realized that the better tasting the drink, the more trouble I got into, so they are now reserved for special occasions. LOL! But because I love anything sensory nostalgia, I created a fun, nonalcoholic way to take me back to the good old days and relax.
Bahama Mama Inspired
These Bahama Mama inspired ice cubes are super easy to make with everything from your local grocery store. Add some lemon lime soda (plus rum, if you’re feelin’ it) and enjoy a yummy summer drink! These can also be a yummy popsicle for the kiddos!
Here’s what you need:
- ice cube tray
- each cube-
- 1/4 oz coconut water
- 1/4 oz orange juice
- 1/4 oz pineapple juice
- splash of grenadine
- mix the cubes with
- lemon lime soda
- pour each liquid into the ice cube tray, no need to mix
- freeze
- remove ice cubes and fill up glass or pitcher
- pour lemon lime soda over the top
- enjoy
That’s it! Super simple and delicious. I hope you and your family can beat the heat with this fun summer drink idea. Check out some more inspo from my friends:
