Home is where the heart is so, “Welcome to Our Heart” Spruce up your door with this adorable DIY Valentines Door Hanger Craft. I love crafts that are simple and fun to put together. This little door hanger is a great size for hand lettering or even for use with Cricut vinyl cutouts. It can be easily placed in various places, like on a door handle, staircase banister, or just hanging on a wall. For me, it’s the perfect accent to my already existing farmhouse inspired décor. Enjoy!

What You’ll Need:
- Unfinished Wood Hanging Sign Blank (*** see caption below)
- Heart-shaped felt stickers from Dollar Tree
- silver and white Porcelain Paint Markers
- 1.5″ wired burlap ribbon
- lunch bag cardstock
- pink paint, paint brush
- scissors
- hot glue gun
Pink Paint & Polka Dots
- Start by painting the face of the blank hanging sign pink or red.
- Next measure out 3 pieces of wired burlap ribbon approximately 1.5 inches longer than the height of each tier.
- Center your ribbon and hot glue the end to the back of each tier.
Fold In The… Cardstock
- You could measure out each piece, but I didn’t. I found it easier to just fold and tear.
- Fold the lunch bag cardstock in half horizontally and then again vertically (hot dog & hamburger style).
- Tear apart the sections, creating four separate pieces of cardstock. Use one of those pieces to estimate a good size for your tier.
- For me, the length was perfect, but I needed to shorten the height to see more of the tier and ribbon. I shortened mine about 1.5 inches (popular measurement with this DIY Valentines craft!)
- Next use the new piece to measure, fold, and tear the other two pieces (or three if you mess up like me!)
Writer’s Block
- WRITE ON YOUR CARDSTOCK FIRST! Use the white porcelain paint marker to write out your words before you glue down the cardstock in case you mess up (like I did).
- Use the silver porcelain paint marker to shadow your letters and give them that little bit of extra glam.
- Once you have your words how you like ’em, go ahead and get out the glue. Glue the back around the edges of the card stock and carefully flip and press them onto the center of the tier.
- Lastly, add some random sticky felt hearts to complete the Valentine’s Day theme.
Your DIY Valentines Door Hanger Craft is complete and ready to welcome your family and friends into your heart the Valentine’s Day! I am loving this little set of Valentines crafts I have made and put together and hope you find some joy in them as well. Maybe it will give you a start to your Valentine’s Day décor like it did with me. I am not sure if I will be making more this year or not. I guess we’ll see! Either way, it’s just enough to bring in that romantic holiday spirit. 🙂
