It’s my first Mother’s Day! My little one is only 11 months old and can’t exactly go to the store and pick something out for Mom, but my husband and I can definitely help her with a homemade craft or printable to make the day special. I am beyond excited to be sharing a few Homemade Mother’s Day Gifts ideas with you to make with your babe, or to hint around to your spouse or grandparents for help. LOL.

Kids Crafts
Handprint/ Footprint Art
- paint child’s hand with non-toxic paint
- press freshly painted hand onto cardstock, construction paper, canvas, etc.
- cut out for a craft or frame as art
Pipe Cleaner and Puff Bouquet
- lay out pipe cleaner
- glue puffs along it
- once dry, twist and wrap around the end of another pipe cleaner
- continue process until you have several flowers
- use another pipe cleaner to tie around the stems
No Sew, Foam “Oh My Heart”
- cut two hearts the same size out of a 11 X 18 red foam sheet
- hot glue (or strong holding glue) around the edge of one heart leaving about a 3″ gap without glue
- place the other heart on top, press, and hold together until dry
- place fluff, plastic bags, or even paper inside the hole left unglued to fill the heart
- hot glue the gap closed
- cut out two different sized heart shapes out of felt (or foam) for eyes and glue them on the face for eyes
- use a paint or regular marker to draw the little “oh my” mouth

Crafts
Paper Doily Flower Coasters
- clear glue a small paper doily onto a scrap piece of cardboard of cardstock
- paint cardboard first if you want it to be a color
- cut around doily leaving a little edge of exposed card
Single Potted Flower
- take an empty can (mine was a baby formula can)
- Mod Podge around the side
- press a paper doily to the can as you go around with the Mod Podge (I used 3 medium size doilies overlapping each other
- apply Mod Podge over the placed doilies
- allow to dry outside
- add one faux flower to a Styrofoam ball and insert into can
- fill up the can with paper (recycle)
- cover the top of the filling with moss from Dollar Tree
- wrap the bottom of the can with twine
- add a twine bow
Mod Podge Canvas Picture Frame
- paint a 5 X 7 canvas (or larger)
- once dry, Mod Podge over the art
- place a 4 X 6 photo in the center while still wet
- Mod Podge over the photo
- let dry outside
